Book recommendations: I bought Last Waltz In Vienna by George Clare, whose surname was Klaar until he cleared off to Britain in 1939. It is a sobering story of how an entirely respectable and patriotic family emerged in Vienna from the early nineteenth century. His parents were murdered at Auschwitz by the Nazis. £5 at Amazon.
The other book that I got started on was Lost Victories by Field Marshal Erich von Manstein who was clearly a brilliant soldier and manager of men. Britain's good fortune occurred when Manstein was sacked by Hitler since that bighead claimed he knew more than Manstein. In every cloud there is a silver lining. £18 at Amazon.
Finally, for those who merely chase money I mention that SRT( (SRT) is a strong buy at 60p. Clearly there is a massive order book (£1bn plus) unfolding in SRT's behaviour giving high margin sales for SRT at a colossal margin rate of the order of 30%: contrast this with SRT's capitalisation of around £150.
