I picked up on Circle OF Traitors by Jonathan Freedland three days ago. It covers the development of friends and contacts who were determined to assassinate Hitler. There are grisly pictures of the guillotine execution room and butchers' hooks upon which those who fell to be executed spent their last minutes. £11 on Amazon.
