Yesterday my wife and I hosted a couple of Aussies who are over here on hols. The day before they had been to Lord's for an engaging game of cricket. It is merely that the two tickets cost £1,100. However, the sandwiches were OK.

But this pair are not cowards and are headed off for the Tuesday at Royal Ascot next week where they are guests at a box overlooking the racecourse. This only costs £3,000 per head or £36,000 for the box for the day. Still, the sandwiches will be undeniably good. So not all is lost.
