Military reality in Ukraine

It is unclear as to how guerrilla war in the Ukraine could be dealt with by the Russians. And given that the Ukrainians entirely understandably loathe the Russians (Stalin's murder of 4m kulaks in the winter of 1932/33 and much much more besides) whatever grasping settlement Putin imposes will, if necessary, lead to guerrilla warfare.
