New Star is an old star but, astonishingly, still there

New Star Investment Trust (NSI) announced yesterday afternoon that its net asset value per share is 176p. Given that there is no evidence of indifferent management having occurred or scheduled to come the share price of 110p is insane. One has to be realistic and accept that resolution of John Duffield's beneficiaries' intentions may well take some years rather than months. But NSI is surely a nailed on safe investment for the patient.
