Rachel Reeves's conceit

Reeves is spouting off in today's Sunday Times. It's very much an I this and an I that piece. One need not take it too seriously since she has been proved a liar. But the shaker for me came a few weeks back when she asserted that she should be respected since her office meant that she had to be respected. She just does not know that respect is earned and not claimed.
