Where does FTSE go?

Gervais Williams of Premier Miton was on the radio a few days ago forecasting a twenty year bull market in London. My immediate reaction was that he was selling fund management services and could therefore be forgiven.


However, on reflection, I am not so sure.. I reckon we are overconcerned with the amazing bull market in America. This can ease off and the underlying enthusiasm of Britons to develop businesses is strongly apparent despite the lunatically silly government we in Britain are currently having to endure.


It is worth noting that FTSE has merely doubled this last thirty years whereas inflation alone should have taken us higher than that. Perhaps Britons may now receive our bonus for enforced patience.
