DINO
Using my initiative, I sent my granddaughter to the hospital’s third or fourth-hand bookshop and she acquired for £1.60 a book called Dino by Nick Tosches.
It is an account of Rat Pack member Dean Martin.
I'm particularly drawn to it because on the outside cover there is the recommendation that readers should buy it on the grounds that it contains ‘one hundred-proof prose at its most scorching…it will melt cash registers.’
I think that is a sufficient recommendation to buy this book at this price.
I don't know how many copies there are available, but readers of ETS could use their sense of initiative to get hold of a copy.
